About this trip

Gorkha is one of the historical places of Nepal. It is known for the legends of Shah Dynasty and the bravery of Gorkhali soldiers. The legend says, 300 years ago, Nepal was divided into 50 tiny states, and Gorkha was one of them. King Prithivi Narayan Shah, the founder of `Shah Dynasty’ unified Nepal into one kingdom.

The major attractions of this village tour are Gorkha palace which is situated on the top of a hill at an altitude of 1000m and can be reached by climbing about one thousand seven hundred steps (1700). Once you reach the palace, one can see the Himalayan range including spectacular views of Mt.Manaslu and Mt.Himalchuli, Manakamana temple – the famous and holiest temple of Devi and panoramic views of the valleys. Other attractions are temple of Gorakhnath and Kali which are paced within the periphery of the palace. The tour offers the rural cultural and natural experiences.

Arrive at Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our Travel Devisers’ representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designed hotel. The representative will help you check into your hotel.

Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu Valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors.

The valley offers you a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influences.

In the morning, after breakfast, you will be guided to visit 3 renowned Buddhist and Hindu temples: Pashupatinath, Bouddha Stupa, and Swayambhunath.

After lunch, you will be visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.

Drive to Kurintar and Manakamana temple excursion

Today, after breakfast early in the morning, you will be driven to Kurintar, about 104 km from Kathmandu which takes 3-4 hours on tourist vehicle. On the way to our destination you will go through beautiful forests, deep gorges and pass Nepali villages.

After reaching Kurintar, you have a cable car ride to reach Manakamana temple which is the famous and holiest temple of Devi. You will visit the temple and its surrounding and accommodations will be made in the local guest house.

Trek to Gorkha Durbar

From Manakamana, you will trek up to Gorkha Durbar, which will take around 3-4 hours. There you will enjoy the nature and the rural life of Gorkha village.

Sightseeing around Gorkha durbar

Today you will have sightseeing of Gorkha durbar and its surrounding. This palace which is situated on the top of hill at altitude of 1000m and can be reached by climbing, about one thousand seven hundred steps (1700).

Once you reach the palace, one can see the Himalayan range including spectacular views of Mt.Manaslu and Mt.Himalchuli and panoramic views of the valleys

Village tour

Today you have a village tour to experience the rural life of local communities. You have a chance to interact with local, hospitable people.

Also, you can know tradition, lifestyle, custom and the culture of the local communities. Accommodation will be made in local homes.

Drive to Kathmandu

From having the village tour at Gorkha, today you will be driven to Kathmandu which will take around 4 – 5 hours.

After reaching Kathmandu, you have a free time to shopping, body massage or other else.

Depart from Kathmandu

After checking out of the hotel, our representative will take you to the international airport for your flight home.
