LUMBINI: is the birthplace of lord Gautam Buddha who is worshipped as an idol of peace and harmony all over the world. Lumbini is situated at southwest of Kathmandu near the Indian Border. As Buddha spent most of this childhood here, you can discover many sign and symbols of his childhood days, which is still in existence around the Lumbini garden.

 BOUDDHA: World heritage sight, Bouddha is located at Kathmandu Valley, and welcomes travelers from all around the world where one can experience the Tibetan life style of people, their rituals and tradition values.

SWAYAMBHU: World heritage sight is the oldest stupa in the world. Also known as monkey temple, it is situated on top of a hill overlooking the Kathmandu valley.

NAMOBOUDDHA: It is also popular Buddhist pilgrimage sight in Nepal. It is located at hill, in order to reach Namobuddha we need to hike to the destination. At Namobuddha one can experience the rituals and tradition performed by the Buddhists monks and witness their praying and meditation.

Arrive at Kathmandu

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our Travel Devisers’ representative and driver will meet you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and escort you to your designed hotel. The representative will help you check into your hotel.

At the hotel, you will be briefed about your daily activities.

Full-day sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley - Swayambhunath, Bouddha and Bhaktapur

After breakfast you will proceed for sightseeing tour at Pashupatinath Temple and Bouddhanath Stupa, UNESCO protects both these sights as world heritage sites.

Pashupatinath temple is the oldest and sacred Hindu temple in the world situated on the bank of the holy river Bagmati.

Bouddhanath Stupa is also one of the biggest and oldest stupa of the world for buddhists. The area surrounding the stupa is also known as little Tibet as the area is highly inhabited by Tibetan refugees and also houses one of the biggest Tibetan refugee camps in the valley.

After lunch you will proceed for an excursion to another UNESCO World Heritage Site: Bhaktapur Durbar Square, where you will explore old palaces, stoned temple, Stupas etc.

The old palace at square of Bhaktapur contains famous "Fifty-five windows palace", Golden Gate temple, museum of art and history, the pottery square, the majestic Nyatapola temple, the famous Peacock window and the Dattatraya temple. After the sightseeing you will be transferred to Dhulikhel for a overnight stay at the hotel.

Namo Buddha hike and drive back to Kathmandu

In the morning, drive to Namobuddha after breakfast. Namobuddha is situated at an elevation of 1750m above sea level on a hill.

This place serves as a very important Buddhist Pilgrimage sight. The Stupa and shrines built in this small hill marks as a very ancient and important holy site, also it signifies the landmark of where the legendary prince Mahasattva offered himself to a starving Tigress with its several underfed cubs. This legendary incident is depicted on a stone slab located right next to a holy Stupa.

In the afternoon, you will drive back to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is free for your personal sightseeing/shopping.

Drive/Fly to Lumbini

After breakfast at hotel, you can drive or fly to Lumbini.

Lumbini is the birthplace of the Lord Buddha. Lord Buddha often known as "Light of Asia" was born here and lived until age of 29 years. This sacred place is also listed as an important site to visit and is counted as a lifetime opportunity for the Buddhist followers in the world.

Upon arrival, you will check-in at hotel, then head to Lumbini garden, visit Maya Devi temple and other monasteries located inside the garden arena.

Full - day Lumbini sightseeing & Transfer to Tilaurakot

In the morning you will be driven to Tilaurakot. Tilaurakot is 25km west of Lumbini, and is said to be the childhood home of the Buddha.

Tilaurakot is considered to be the capital of Kapilavastu kingdom, where remains of some stupas, fort gates, old city walls and a moat can be viewed. There are two Ashokan Pillars here, which were put up to honor the birth of the Buddha twice in previous ages.

The eastern gate is considered important, as Buddha is said to have passed through this gate when he departed to find enlightenment. After the tour you will return back to Lumbini for an overnight stay.

Drive back to Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will be driven to Kathmandu. Upon reaching, you will have free time to visit Thamel which popular tourist hub for shopping, restaurants and bars/pubs but you may also visit a place of your choice.

Depart from Kathmandu

After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, our representative will take you to the international airport for your flight home.

You also have the option to to extend your stay in Nepal for shorter trips, such as visits to national parks, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, and more. We are always ready to help you plan for these if you would require them.
