Kathmandu valley trek is a unique trail that takes you to Shivapuri National Park, Nagarkot, and Changunarayan etc. You can experience the Nepali culture and traditions of people living in the villages and also explore the lifestyle of the ethnic group, Tamangs.

On the top of the hill you can glance at panoramic views of the Himalayas. You will have to walk through the forest of pine, oaks and rhododendron flowers. Nagarkot is one of the most popular hill stations to view sunrise and the Himalayan ranges in the valley. In the morning, you can view sunrise above the Himalayas. Moreover, you can get the most breathtaking view of the Himalayas, stretching from Dhaulagiri past Everest to Kanchenjunga. En- route you will visit the Changunarayan temple- the UNESCO heritage sites and the valley’s old temple.

Drive to Sundarijal & Hike to Chisapani

Today, you will be driven from Kathmandu to Sundarijal by a private vehicle and will get to admire the Nepalese scenery on the one hour drive.

Your four hour hike starts from Sundarijal upto Chisapani. You'll hike through spectacular Shivapuri National Park that provides panoramic views of the jagged peaks of the highest mountains in the Kathmandu Valley, as well as an abundance of pine and oak forest flora, fed by the fertile watershed landscape.

Hike to Nagarkot

After breakfast, start your 2.5 hour trek to Chaukibhanjyang, where you will pause for lunch and in the afternoon.

A three hour descent takes you to Nagarkot, where on a clear day you can see the Himalayas stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west all the way past Everest to Kanchenjunga in the east.

Check into your hotel accommodation for the night.

Hike to Changunarayan & Drive back to Kathmandu

This is the last day that takes you to Changunarayan, a hike of about 4 hours.

The most popular walk around Kathmandu, the route leads down from Nagarkot along a ridge to Changunarayan Temple, where beautiful views of the village of Sankhu and the Bhaktapur area. It is said to be the oldest temple in the valley, Changunarayan is richly decorated with sculptures and carvings.

Your transfer to Kathmandu will be waiting, giving you the opportunity to finally rest your legs on the drive back to the city.
